AutoGENIC TRAINING

Autogenic Training, sometimes called “Western Yoga,” is a practice of self-improvement developed in Europe some hundred years ago, addressing the needs of individuals desiring an alternative method to hypnosis. In stepwise fashion, selected sensory experiences conducive to creating relaxation states are meditated upon, in a process that was originally designed to dissolve stress. Negative emotions are defused, and positive ones are given more space in the brain. Indeed, the dissolution of stress and anxiety invariably boosts self-confidence. Ongoing use of this approach leads to fuller peaceful states of being.
